PraachiRaniwala

An advertising and communications major from St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, I discovered my flair for writing during a brief stint with a luxury PR firm soon after I graduated. So, I pursued a post-graduate degree in fashion and lifestyle journalism from London College of Fashion in 2011, after which I worked at L’Officiel India in the editorial department for two years.

I decided to take the scenic route, aka freelancing, in 2013. Today, I am a digital nomad working with multiple prestigious titles in the fashion and lifestyle industry. My repertoire spans digital and print features alongside content and strategic consultation for leading brands. I also curate a series of bite-sized Insta-articles with industry insiders called #PennedByPAsks

Find my words in The New York Times, The Washington Post, FT’s How To Spend It, Vogue India & Australia, InStyle US, Condé Nast Traveller India, Harper’s Bazaar India & Arabia, Khaleej Times Dubai, Brides.com, Mint Lounge, The Voice of Fashion, Dua Lipa’s Service95, House Notes by Soho House, GQ India, Architectural Digest India, Hindustan Times and Lifestyle Asia among others. I was also awarded the ‘Fashion Writer of the Year 2022’ by India Fashion Awards.

Most recently, I host intimate workshops and individual coaching sessions on topics like freelance writing 101, pitching, and working in the fashion and lifestyle industry. As a multi-hyphenate, I am also the co-founder of a Mumbai-based boutique floral arrangement company Bloom Barn, launched in January 2021, where I handle brand strategy and creative direction.
